I thought this quote would be appropriate since I am showing the Scooby Doo movie to my students today. Go ahead, you can judge me on how I am not teaching and my job is sooo easy. But, you try being around 115 teenagers in one day and keeping them controlled on a "holiday" that promotes ridiculousness and sugar. Yeah, I bet you wouldn't want to teach them either!!

This quote also works because I am a total scrooge when it comes to Halloween. I have never really been a fan of it. Whether it was because I had to walk around in the cold to get candy, of which I am not all that partial to. Furthermore, you have all those people telling me, "Oh you should have been Little Red Riding Hood!" or "Strawberry shortcake!" or "Annie!" Basically, insert any red headed character and I should have been THAT. Actually, come to think of it, Little Red Riding Hood doesn't even have red hair! Just a red hood...close enough?

So, today I am staying after school to grade some notebooks. Then, boyfriend and I are going to the football game for my kids. We try our hardest to avoid this holiday. I know all you who have children are totally going to hate all over me for this post....but, bah humbug! The alternative at my age (with no child) is to dress like a trick and show off my treats. No, but thanks. Not for me.

I mentioned in previous blogs about the gift of FrancisCorps in my life. This past weekend, on the Feast of St. Francis, we were able to celebrate the 10 year Anniversary of FrancisCorps. We have 70+ volunteers who have been an integral part in forming in improving the Syracuse and Costa Rican Communities. Br. Jim Moore, the mastermind behind it all, was able to see every volunteer he ever recruited and shaped come together as a whole community. I can tell you, each event we attended to celebrate this anniv. we filled with Franciscan Spirit and an abundant amount of love for the program and each other. I have included some pics ...



The first one is of all the FC volunteers with families that have developed and grown over the past 10 years.... The second one is Ben, Meesh and I....the 3 out of our 6 from our year....we were missing Don, Kat and Kassie!







I was able to stay at Rick and Dawn's over the weekend. Unfortunately, I saw little of Rick and didn't see Dawn at all but here are some pics with the kids....








I love this picture! They stared at each other like this for about 10 seconds...no words spoken...just a simple look....and then they went back to watching TV.

Happy Birthday to my Dearest Boyfriend!!! 31 years old today....wow, he is old! :) But, isn't he fiiiine?!?! haha

We are off to Syracuse for the weekend. It is the 10th Anniversary of FrancisCorps and we are having a big bash for it! :) Have a good weekend everyone! I hope it is as celebratory as mine will be!!!!
